Si je pouvais d'un coup de baguette
Changer l'espace qui sépare nos continents
Je le ferai sans l'ombre d'un moment
Car c'est bien une grande amitié qui nous guette
Si je pouvais t'envoyer un vol d'oiseux
Avec chacun un message noué à la patte
Cela donnerait de la légèreté à ma poésie plate
Ils viendraient le soir te jouer leur numéro
Si je pouvais attraper une étoile filante
La glisser dans un velours soyeux
Te l'offrir et voir scintiller tes yeux
Dans un incendie d'une lueur lente
Si je pouvais t'envoyer une rose mi-rouge mi-noire
Qui chaque jour élaborerait de douces pétales
Et une arôme sucrée pour charmer le tendre mâle
Qui soulage par ses enchantements mon histoire

Because it's good a big friendship which watches for us
If I could send you a flight of futile
With each a message knotted in the leg
It would give lightness to my flat poetry
They would come in the evening to play you their number
If I could catch a falling star
Slide it in a silky velvet
Offer it to you and see sparkling your eyes
In a fire of a slow light
If I could send you a rose at the middle-red the middle-black
Which every day would develop of soft petals
And one aroma sweetened to charm the soft male
